A One-day Orientation Programme was held for first year Master of Business Administration (MBA) students of Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management on 27 December 2022. The orientation was facilitated by Prof. Joselyn T Lobo and Mrs. Luella Shanthi Lobo of GRID (Group for Institution Development), Mangalore.
The programme was the initiative of Dr. Uday Kumar, HOD of MBA Department and the nearly 50 participants comprised the very first batch of MBA students of Yenepoya who were trained at the new Kulur campus of the institute. The major thrust of the orientation was on group building, self-reflection and creative problem solving using experiential learning participatory methodology.

The participants were very appreciative of the programme and 40 out of 48 rated it as ‘Excellent’ and the remaining eight termed it as ‘Good’. The trainers also appreciated the enthusiasm of the new batch of students.

While evaluating the programme in writing the students stated that it was ‘a wonderful session where we interacted with everyone without discrimination.’ Expressing gratitude, they mentioned ‘Thank you for this excellent training programme. It was fun, interactive and informative. We got to know about our classmates. It’s not like a boring lecture; through the activities we learnt many more things.’ Most students also expressed their desire of having similar sessions on a regular basis.
