GRID facilitated a training session titled “Transforming Classroom Practice Strategies for Effective Teaching and Learning” organised by The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore as a regional level Faculty Development Programme (FDP). The event held on 11 January 2025 aimed to equip educators with innovative teaching techniques and was attended by 65 participants from thirteen institutions across Dakshina Kannada district.
Prof. Joselyn T Lobo, President of GRID, facilitated the workshop utilizing innovative methods to emphasize the importance of student involvement in the teaching-learning process. H explored evolving perspectives in education and delved into the ‘Four C’s’ of 21st Century learning skills through engaging exercises. The programme also highlighted the significance of implementing the VAK (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic) model and various learner-centred teaching techniques. The FDP served as an excellent platform for educators to foster a more engaging learning environment for students.
