Group for Institution Development (GRID) conducted two-day Orientation Programme for two batches of freshers pursuing Bachelor of Engineering (BE) at Bahubali College of Engineering, Shravanabelagola. The programmes held from 10 to 13 September 2025 were the first for GRID in the serene environs of the temple town of Shravanabelagola.
The ‘Stepping-In’ orientation programme focused on the Four Cs of the 21st Century learning skillset namely communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. The other sessions covered self-discovery, self-esteem, and interpersonal relationships. The students mainly from rural background were encouraged to express themselves through self-introduction and narrating their life story.
The programme was facilitated by Prof. Joselyn T Lobo and assisted by Bharath, an HR intern and was initiated by the Principal Dr. Sunil Kumar and Dr. Uday Kumar the newly appointed Administrator of the Bahubali Group of Institutions. Prof. Ramesh Madegowda coordinated the event. Ms. Sandhya and other faculty members from the Basic Science department helped in the logistics.
