A one-day workshop on personal growth titled “Elevate You: Workshop on Personal Growth and Professional Success” was facilitated by GRID for I & II M.Sc. Criminology and Forensic Science (CFS) students of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore on 28 August 2025.
The sessions facilitated by Prof. Joselyn T Lobo, President GRID included activities and exercises on self-reflection, interpersonal relationship, wheel of life, creativity, and goal setting. A presentation on 12 Strategies for Personal Growth was also delivered providing hints and tips into the various domains of life.
The workshop was rated as ‘Excellent’ by all the 24 participants and as expressed by one participant “I learnt so many things from this programme; it was really different from all the sessions I had in my life. I understand that there is more to learn other than our academics.” Another stated that the innovative activities can be applied to day-to-day life.
The programme was initiated by the Prinicipal Dr. Sophie N Fernandes and organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in association with the Post-graduate Department of Criminology and Forensic Science. The organising committee consisted of Dr. Saritha D’Souza, HOD of MSC CFS & IQAC Coordinator, Ms. Nashwa Iqbal faculty coordinator Forensic Forum and Ms. Keerthana Lalasa, President of the Forum.
