Ms. Ratna is a psychologist by training. After her graduation in Mangalore, she completed MA (Psychology) from University of Bombay and a course in Special Education from Bhoj University in Madhya Pradesh.

She has served in several colleges in Mangalore as Guest Faculty. She is a qualified trainer in Life Skills Training for student groups. She is the General Secretary and consultant of GRID.
