Group for Institution Development (GRID) conducted a one-day Workshop on Soft Skills for Nursing students of Kanachur College of Nursing Sciences, Natekal, Mangalore as part of the soft skills module. The event held on 30 October 2025 was facilitated by Prof. Joselyn T Lobo, President GRID and Ms. Luella Shanthi Lobo, counsellor and associate member of GRID.

The workshop saw the active participation of 96 students who are pursuing II-year BSC. Nursing course. The sessions covered effective communication, art of listening, telephone and mobile etiquette as well as importance of team work and qualities of a team player. The programme was initiated by Ms. Molly Saldanha, Principal and coordinated by Ms. Priya Monterio along with other nursing faculty.

The students found the workshop useful and rewarding. In his feedback, Jibin, a nursing student stated: “I really enjoyed the soft skills class. It gave me more confidence and taught me how to express myself effectively.”
